Last night, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra was unveiled in China. The company markets it as a camera smartphone since it sports a Leica-powered 50MP quad-camera system with a 1-inch sensor, variable aperture, and more.
The brand also released an accessory set for the phone, which sort of turns the handset into a camera. The camera handle included in this package is apparently compatible with smartphones from other brands.
Some Chinese bloggers managed to use the camera handle included in the Xiaomi 13 Ultra Professional Camera Bundle with multiple other smartphones. MyDrivers reports that this particular accessory in the set can be used with Oppo Find X6 Pro, Vivo X90 Pro Plus, Huawei Mate 50 Pro, and Meizu 20 Pro.
This camera handle features a shutter button and zoom lever. It connects wirelessly with phones via Bluetooth 5.0 and charges via USB Type-C. Bloggers say that it should be compatible with handsets whose width is about the same as Xiaomi 13 Ultra’s (74.6mm).
The first-party accessory bundle for Xiaomi 13 Ultra is priced at $439. The bundle consists of a leather case, a 67mm filter and its fitting ring, a wireless camera handle, a lens cap, and a lanyard. It’s not known whether this bundle will be sold outside mainland China.
Anyways, it is not recommended for you to buy this accessory to use with your compatible smartphones. Because apart from the wireless camera handle, the other accessories are of no use if you don’t own a Xiaomi 13 Ultra.
