Yesterday, Xiaomi officially released the Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro flagship smartphones. These devices cost between $269 and $369 depending on the model. At present, the Xiaomi 12 and 12 Pro is on pre-sales and the first official sales will take place on December 31st. However, the company revealed that the Xiaomi 12 series no longer have the “environmental protection version” of last year. This means that the entire series comes with standard USB Type-C data cables and chargers. The Xiaomi 12 charger can output up to 67W power while the Xiaomi 12 Pro can output up to 120W fast charging.
However, the data cable is a CA design, and the charger is also an A port. It is not a gallium nitride charger, which is a little regrettable.
However, the Xiaomi 12X still has two versions, “environmental protection version” and a package version. The environmental protection version does not include a data cable + charger. The package version comes with a 67W charger. The environmental protection version and the package version are at the same price. It is worth mentioning that the Xiaomi 12, 12 Pro, and 12X continue Xiaomi’s tradition. They come standard with a clean water protective shell and a protective film with an oleophobic layer.
