South Korean manufacturing giant, Samsung, will unveil its latest flagship series, the Galaxy S22 series later this month. Over the past few weeks, there have been several reports regarding this series. The latest of these reports are a series of official renders of the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. From the images, we can see that this device comes with a similar design as previous speculations. The appearance is very similar to the Note 20 Ultra.
The new Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra stands out from its smaller siblings with a slightly more angular Infinity-O Edge design that is also curved towards the long sides. The top model of the upcoming series uses a 6.8-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with a resolution of 3080 x 1440 pixels. It also uses a Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, and its maximum brightness is 1750 nits. Furthermore, this display supports HDR10+, 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, and 1750 nits peak brightness.
SAMSUNG GALAXY S22 ULTRA SPECIFICATIONS
This smartphone has both the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and Exynos 2200 versions. The Ultra model comes with 8GB or 12GB of RAM and 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB of internal storage. This smartphone comes with a quad rear camera system and supports an S-Pen. Specifically, it uses a 108-megapixels wide-angle sensor, 12-megapixels ultra-wide-angle camera, and two 10-megapixel lenses for telephoto photos. The datasheet specifies both a 3x and 10x optical zoom. The single-camera on the front is a 40-megapixels shooter.
The quad-rear cameras support 8K Super HDR video. The phone measures 163.3 x 77.9 x 8.9mm, and while that’s about the same size as the Note 20 Ultra, it’s likely to feel noticeably thicker in the hand than the Note. The Note’s thickness is 8.1mm.
Furthermore, the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra has a 5000 mAh battery and has the same connectivity and cellular option as the rest of the series. This smartphone also comes with an on-screen fingerprint sensor. This model stands out, many thanks to the S-Pen, which can be retracted into the case. This feature makes the Ultra model feels more like a Note series.
The Galaxy S22 Ultra will be available in black, white, green, and burgundy colours. The Galaxy S22 Ultra price of this device is $439 for the 8GB/128GB model, $459 for the 12GB/256GB model, and $499 12GB/512 GB model.
