The vivo X Fold 2 is a 2023 foldable smartphone from vivo. It is the successor to the vivo X Fold and vivo X Fold+ released by the Chinese phone maker in 2022. It comes with an improved hinge, faster wired charging, and new software and UI experience.

Under the helm, the vivo X Fold 2 boosts the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 5G chipset. This chipset is built on TSMC’s 4nm process and has an octa-core CPU. It has one prime core CPU with a speed clocked at 3.2GHz (Cortex-X3), two big performance cores, two hybrid performance/efficiency cores, and three efficiency cores.
The chipset features the Adreno 740 GPU for rendering graphics and playing games. vivo X Fold 2 comes with a fast 5G MODEM, an ISP for image processing that can decode and encode 8K videos, a nice Neural Engine for AI processing, and an inbuilt chipset from vivo.

vivo X Fold 2 comes with a total of five cameras. It has triple (three) rear cameras on and a single front camera in a punch hole on the inner and outer cover screen. Display, Design, and Durability

Both the inner and outer cover display supports 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision.
The displays of the smartphone are flat and weigh about 311 g (10.97 oz). Its SIM supports dual 5G networks and has the option for Dual SIM (Nano-SIM). The design of the smartphone looks really good. It has a punch hole on the inner and outer cover screen and a circular rear camera module on the rear panel.
It is made of a Glass front (Gorilla Glass), eco-leather back, and aluminum frame. The smartphone is not certified to be water and dustproof but comes with a redesigned hinge system. The hinge can hold steady in multiple locations and the crease is now less visible.

vivo X Fold 2 comes with two RAM and storage options. Available RAM and storage options are 12 RAM + 256GB storage and 12 RAM + 512GB storage. It has no space for a microSD card slot and thus you can’t expand storage.
The battery inside the smartphone is a 4,800mAh cell and it supports 120W wired and 50W wireless fast charging. Using the 120W charger, you can charge the battery from 0 to 100% in less than 25 minutes.

vivo X Fold 2 boots Origin OS Ocean based on Android 13 out of the box. It will get up to three years of major software updates and four years of monthly security patches.
